Freely unravelling the thread of his inspiration on a modular synthesiser, Jesse Lucas escapes for a while from the adventures of Rick the Cube to imagine a sonic journey geared towards babies as well as their parents. Inspired by Brian Eno’s ambient and pared down albums, « Rêverie électronique » is an invitation to relaxation and contemplation, a tribute to slowness for young and old within a musical bubble made of electronic loops and luminous variations.
The performance takes place around an intriguing pyramid in the middle of the venue. Cushions and custom built lights are scattered around to create a comfortable and dreamy atmosphere. The audience is invited to take their places around this pyramid with Jesse. From every angle of the pyramid, the audience can discover a 3D world populated with many intriguing animals. Every animal will react in real time to the music improvised by Jesse on his modular synthesiser. The result is a dreamy world of sound and image, perfect to take a break from the outside world.
Déroulant librement le fil de son inspiration au synthétiseur modulaire, Jesse Lucas s’échappe un temps des aventures de Rick Le Cube pour imaginer un voyage sonore destiné aux tout petits comme à leurs parents, le tout, au sein d’une bulle intimiste faite de boucles électroniques et de variations lumineuses…
Inspirée des disques ambiants et épurés de Brian Eno, cette rêverie est une lente dérive parsemée ici et là de sons naturels (cris d’animaux, gouttes de pluie, roulement des vagues…) et accompagnée d’images projetées sur un objet géométrique. Petit à petit, les paysages se succèdent, du survol des montagnes jusqu’au fond des mers, on y suit l’évolution d’un monde organique qui se dévoile tout en douceur sous nos yeux, au gré des vibrations musicales.
