Fading loops become distant memories…
I’ve always loved loops, in any form and especially in music. But modern electronic music has gone to far in my opinion. The advent of software like Ableton live as made it so easy to work on audio looping material that it has taken the fun out of it. Inspired by the works of experimental tape loop artists I decided to create a digital version of their techniques. This looping technique distorts and modulates the loops as they go bye to create an ever evolving soundscape. This side project is named “The vanishing circle” and will be a constant work in progress. The example above was recorded live during a train journey and incorporates sounds from my laptop buit-in microphone record on the train.
